高齡駕駛 的 事故率 跟年輕人沒有差別
政府在當月下旬經由內閣會議擬定的成長戰略中，計畫增設專為 高齡駕駛人 核發的駕駛執照。探討對應75歲以上的 高齡駕駛人 ，是否只能駕駛有搭載自動煞車等的安全機制的車種，認為在 高齡駕駛人 的車禍事故頻發的狀況下，應該盡速提出一個對策。
但預計 高齡駕駛 專用制度不會強制執行，整理上來說會是「和緩」的。
像這樣對於 高齡駕駛 實施的政策其實應該要早點開始的，但並不是過度針對 高齡駕駛 ，應該要全面性的理解才是最重要的。
首先在年齡層當中持有駕照的比例，75歲以上民眾不超過6.8%。並且，如果看年齡層的交通事故率，75歲以上的數字實際上和25~29歲沒有差別。
在日本的人口中因為高齡者的人數不斷增加，所以僅僅是因為 高齡駕駛 的事故比較顯眼，事故比率也不會大幅增加。另外，在20～24歲、16～19歲的年經世代，交通事故率也非常多，酒駕、無照駕駛等魯莽行事也變得越來越多，因此我認為，只把焦點放在 高齡駕駛 的問題身上，是不太正確的。
高齡駕駛 的交通事故，哪天自動駕駛車輛普及後就能解決了吧。以現狀的對策來說，比起只把目光放在 高齡駕駛 身上，更應該先確認誰是「該被提醒的人」。
我也曾經作為 高齡駕駛 者參加更新駕照的考試，在同樣來參加考試的人當中，也有讓人明顯感受到「這個人是危險駕駛」的人在。即是是平常周遭的人來看，應該也會注意到這種人的駕駛方式是很危險的，這種時候如果能給他建議一下會比較好。
